The Academy has a distinctive uniform and a firm code of practice. Students at The Excel Academy are expected to wear appropriate uniform at all times.

Hot Weather Adjustments: To ensure students’ comfort and well-being during hot weather, temporary adjustments will be made to the uniform policy. These changes aim to maintain a conducive learning environment while prioritising student health and comfort.

Uniform standards

  • Navy blue, with red trim Academy jumper (untucked).
  • Academy blazer with embroidered badge.
  • White shirt fastened to the neck.
  • Plain mid-grey trousers (loose fitting only) with grey socks or alternatively a specific mid-grey knee length pleated skirt (not rolled up) with grey tights.
  • Academy tie.
  • Suitable black shoes – no trainers.
  • No jewellery except one pair of stud earrings allowed.
  • Hair colour to be kept a natural colour and eyelashes to be natural.
  • Nails are natural and short.

PE Kit

  • Excel branded Polo Shirt
  • Excel 1/4 Zip Top
  • Excel Shorts, Excel branded joggers/leggings or navy non-branded
  • Navy socks
  • No metal studs on the Astro.
